Total of 37 supposedly poisoned eggs were revealed in the vicinity of Topľníky village in Southern Slovakia by a joined investigation team of the Slovak Police and Raptor Protection of Slovakia (PannonEagle LIFE team) on 16/04/2020.

Sad news came from dog unit of the Czech society for ornithology. Sam, one of the tracker dogs, suddenly died of acute abdomen. He was nearly 11 years old.

On Sunday, April 12th 2020, Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia reported to the Provincial Environmental Inspection that wild birds have been poisoned in the vicinity of Bačka Topola, Serbia.
The satellite-tagged Imperial Eagle “Alois” has been killed on the morning of 19th March 2020 by an unknown offender near Gunskirchen in Upper Austria. According to the data transmitted, the tag has been carted away and thrown into the river Traun.
On 28/03/2020, 2020 dozens of baits (carcases probably poisoned), poisoned eggs, poisoned individuals of protected animals, foxes, cats, and martens, including 5 Common Buzzards were found in the vicinity of the Podolie village in Slovakia.
New case of poisoning of the Imperial Eagle in Slovakia was revealed by the State Nature Conservancy staff on 23/03/2020 in the vicinity of the Pobedim village.

During the February 21st and 22nd 2020., members and volunteers from BirdLife Serbia (Bird Protection and Study Sociecty of Serbia) have choose two old oak trees, one poplar and one acacia tree to set up 4 new nesting platforms for eagles near the Special Nature Reserve "Pastures of the Great Bustard", at Novi Knezevac municipality, Serbia.
