Somebody shot a White-tailed Eagle juvenile. The bird died

Somebody shot a White-tailed Eagle juvenile in the Litoměřice area. Unable to fly, he suffered for several days, until two mushroom pickers found him. The next day he should undergo the operation. Unfortunately, the young eagle died during the night.

The White-tailed Eagle does not have any natural predator in the wild. His only enemy is the human. In the Czech Republic there are about 130 nesting pairs. So far, the Czech society for ornithology has in its database 14 killed White-tailed Eagles so far this year. Most of them died by poisoning.
